Alex Padgett

A lifelong Portlander, Alex dreamed of becoming an architect since elementary school, when her class participated in the Architects in Schools program. While studying at the University of Oregon, she learned about the Housing First model and embraced the connection between the work of an architect to design quality, affordable housing, and the impact of safe and stable housing to mitigate challenges faced by those living in poverty. Alex is committed to Salazar’s community engagement process that centers the ideas and concerns of those most directly impacted by our work, especially in the early stages of design when community input can greatly impact the direction and concept of a project.
