Hood River Housing

affordable housing and community workshop

Salazar Architect Inc. and a team of University of Oregon graduate architecture students lead a community design workshop process in 2008 creating 10 affordable housing proposals for a 2.5 acre site overlooking the Columbia River. The work included: site research, readings and lectures, group projects and individual design work, a design charrette with local community leaders and residents, and production of a final report. Our work contributed to the success of the Mid-Columbia Housing Authority to become the site’s affordable housing developer in 2016.
