Jay brings experience across commercial and residential architecture, with a focus on multi-family housing, adaptive reuse, and historic preservation. He holds a Master of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he gained hands-on design-build experience rooted in sustainability. As a Queer/Trans designer, Jay is passionate about inclusive design and equity in practice. He is currently pursuing licensure and exploring how computational design and artistic exploration can enrich architectural thinking. Originally from a small town near New Orleans, Jay draws inspiration from vernacular architecture and is especially interested in mass timber and sustainable building technologies. Outside of work, Jay is a painter, speculative designer, drummer, and dedicated bodybuilder, recently embracing running as part of his fitness journey.
