Mariana Gutierrez

Design Staff

Mariana grew up surrounded by agriculture and low-income housing. She developed a passion for architecture through hands-on experience and shadowing her father, a skilled carpenter and builder. With personal experience as the child of immigrant parents living in a low-income housing community, she developed a deep appreciation for design that addresses the needs of underserved populations. Passionate about creating spaces that foster equity and justice, she is inspired by Salazar Architects’ commitment to community-based design, public engagement, and advancing climate justice and racial, gender, and economic equity.
