Las Adelitas community workshop…first of three completed!
Updated: Jul 31, 2019
Our Las Adelitas (aka Living Cully Plaza) team had a great time last Friday leading the first of three community design workshops. Through focused design discussions with key residents and community leaders, we gained feedback on our early Schematic Design work and helped build momentum and support for the development. It was especially exciting to begin to re-engage with the community after the project transitioned from an all-commercial development, to mixed-use / mixed-income housing. We're at the beginning of a 3-year process, which will re-define and stabilize this edge of the neighborhood with new affordable housing and a community / cultural center, meeting both LEED (green building) and SEED (social economic environmental design) standards. A big THANKS to the organizations and staff from Hacienda CDC, Verde, PLACE and William Wilson Architects who helped make the workshop happen!
