Net Zero Research

Salazar Architect is a signatory of the AIA 2030 Commitment. We are working toward transforming our firm's design process in order to create carbon-neutral buildings that do not generate greenhouse gas emissions to operate. To accomplish this, our Sustainable Design Lab performs periodic eco-charrettes and curates energy models for active work, uploading results to the AIA DDx database. In parallel with this effort, we are actively collaborating with architecture faculty and graduate students at Portland State University in the Research Based Initiative to document and better understand the performance of our recent design work. Below are reports and presentations related to this. Future reports will be posted here as this area of our expertise expands.
